1. What is a proper
fit for mokom gloves?
Mokom gloves are available in 5 sizes (S, M, L, XL, and XXL) to ensure a proper fit. Measure your own hand and then refer to the glove sizing chart (final thumbnail picture) when selecting the proper size. The best fit with mokom gloves is one that feels like a snug fitting glove without excess material – a second layer of skin. When properly fit the user’s own natural skin may slightly protrude through the large holes for sensitive touch.
2. Are mokom gloves
available in women’s sizes?
Mokom gloves are available in 5 sizes (S, M, L, XL, and XXL) to ensure a proper fit. Measure your own hand and then refer to the glove sizing chart (final thumbnail picture) to select the best match. In general, the gloves are made from a stretchable material that conforms well on many sized hands, however, in the future Mokom Gloves may introduce a product line of gloves more specifically designed for women’s hand sizes.
3. Are mokom gloves
washable?
Mokom gloves are able to be carefully hand washed in soapy water and air dried naturally. We do NOT recommend machine washing or drying mokom gloves.
4. How “grippy” is
the material?
Mokom gloves are designed to be the proper Balance of BOTH Natural Touch and Improved Grip. The unique black fabric has a textured polyurethane external coating that improves grip in sweaty and wet conditions. However, it is purposely not quite as tacky as some of the thicker football receiver gloves (>50% thinner than all of them) but certainly more sticky than other leather and fabric sport gloves. Mokom gloves were specifically designed to fulfill that sweet spot for those sports that required BOTH Natural Touch and Improved Grip.
5. Why do mokom
gloves have so many holes?
The precision laser cut hole pattern on the mokom gloves was specifically designed to meet four main parameters: 1) Increase Overall Handgrip 2) Retain Tactile Sensitivity 3) Maximize Air Ventilation 4) Maintain Manual Dexterity. The larger holes serve to expose the most sensitive, nerve infused regions on the hand and also reduce any material stretching resistance around the knuckles. The smaller holes serve to permit easier flexing of the material in active bending portions of the hand and fingers, as well as maximize air ventilation for an overall cool feeling glove. The strategically sized and positioned hole pattern serves to meet all the initial design parameters and offer a truly unique sports glove to improve your game.
6. Are mokom gloves
available in custom colors?
Currently, mokom gloves are only available in the black and white color scheme shown. Mokom Gloves may offer other custom color combinations in the future for large volume production runs – please contact us regarding such special requests.
7. What does “mokom”
mean?
The trademarked name “mokom” is a fictitious palindrome –
defined as a word that reads the same backward as forward… or as we prefer,
balanced. Inside the packaging one will
also find “BARE ESSENTIALS”… another way to express how we feel about our innovative
mokom gloves.
